We started Underpine Outdoors because we couldn't find gear that felt like us. Not the slick corporate brands. Not the mass-produced stuff that looks great in an ad but falls apart on mile 12. We wanted gear that felt earned — worn at basecamp and the trailhead, at the summit and the ski lodge, by people who actually go outside.
So we made it ourselves.
Our name comes from the underpine — the understory trees that grow beneath the forest canopy. They don't get the spotlight, but they're essential to everything above them. That's how we think about our people: the unsung adventurers who show up before sunrise, who know the trail conditions before the app does, who pack out what they pack in.
We're built for backpackers, hikers, skiers, van lifers, trail runners, and everyone who considers the outdoors home. If you've ever felt more yourself on a ridgeline than in a meeting room — you're exactly who we made this for.
